Pros: - Really, really beautiful, well designed rooms and communal spaces (inc kitchen, small dip pool) - Clean and comfortable - Desk and good Wi-Fi - Very close to many of the best cafes and restaurants in the Americana neighborhood - The facility managers were lovely, warm and helpful Cons: - There are no staff past 6 PM. I had an issue with my room code not working, thankfully I arrived while the attendant was still there. - Everything is by chat and customer service was a bit flat. No flexibility offered on late check out or early check in. - My room on the street side was a little loud at times, but I always sleep with earplugs and it was fine - The hallway light shines into the room whenever someone passes, if you are sensitive bring an eyemask for sleeping Overall I was very pleased and would stay again. If there were discounts for long-term stays I would consider it for that as well.
Casa Kali is an oasis in the middle of Guadalajara. Great neighborhood, walking distance to excellent eats and bars. It's about a 15-20 min walk to Central area. The courtyard/common area with the kitchen and pool is beautiful! It was my favorite part of the house. The architecture of the place is peaceful, lush and green. A quiet and restful place where it elevated our vacation that is unique than staying in a traditional hotel. Courtyard is opened to outdoors - plenty of fresh air, but never direct sun which keeps the house nice and cool. There's a built in filtered water which I used to boil water to be extra careful and didn't have any issues. There's a fridge in both your room and the kitchen. As some of the critiques goes, I had trouble connecting to the WiFi in the room. The internet worked in the common space, which as mentioned is gorgeous space to relax. There's even a complimentary cold beer in the fridge from a local brewery to welcome you in. Barrio Mexico is a collection of boutique home stays and will happily come back again.
Muy bonita, limpia, con todo lo necesario. Si vienes en carro hay un estacionamiento, La Lupita a 1 cuadra para no dejar tu carro en la calle, tiene cerca lugares para comer y beber exquisito muy cerca.
Beautiful and in the best location. Stayed longer because I liked it so much! For those working: was able to work in the room and had decent wifi. Enjoyed the breakfast cafe - a nice perk! Great value all around.

Fuimos mis 3 hermanas y yo con nuestra chihuahuita. Estuvimos muy cómodas, y seguras, el barrio es muy tranquilo, hay cafeterías cercanas y un día desayunamos en el comedor común, muy lindo. Caminábamos de ahí al centro, o al templo expiatorio. El servicio es todo por Whatsapp, antes de llegar te envían la clave de acceso y la contraseña de wifi, te dan un desayuno muy ligero para llevar a media cuadra de ahí. El concepto es diferente del que habíamos usado para visitar la ciudad pero nos parece excelente. Felicidades, sin duda regresaremos cuando visitemos Guadalajara
